Together we go through the dressing process – we guide you through women’s and men’s costumes in a relaxed atmosphere filled with stories and song. Each piece of the costume has a story.

Step 3.
Photo time
Our space is decorated with authentic props and details that bring old Zagreb back to life — a vintage Singer sewing machine, old textiles, wooden details.
Once you’re fully folk’d up, this is the moment worth capturing. Jump into the act and use the props to step back in time.

Step 4.
Folk'd up self-guided adventure
Dressed in traditional costume, you’ll head out into the streets of Zagreb — prepare for curious looks, smiles and probably a few extra photos along the way.
For the next hour, the city becomes part of the experience itself. Wander, explore, take your own photos or simply stop somewhere for a glass of wine or gemišt.
We’re located just a short walk from Ban Jelačić Square, and we’ll gladly share some of our favourite local spots around the city.

Step 5.
Returning to the studio
Back from your walk, we share impressions over a snack. And if the folk bug has bitten you — we’ve been dancing folklore our whole lives, happy to teach you a few steps.
We’ll carefully pack away the costumes, return your deposit and wrap up the experience.
Hopefully our mission will be accomplished — and you’ll leave totally folk’d up.

Folk me up experience summary
The whole experience lasts approx. 2.5 hours for an individual experience, 3 hours for a group of 2-3 people, and 3.5 hours for a group of 4-6 people.
We start with a 15–20 minute welcome drink, a short intro to Zagreb’s folklore tradition, and a few admin bits.
Then it’s time to get folk’d up. Depending on group size, dressing in authentic Zagreb folk costumes takes about 30–60 minutes.
Next: 10–15 minutes for photos in our folklore-inspired space, perfect for Insta stars and old-school photography lovers alike. Then you’re off on a one-hour, self-guided walk through Zagreb.
Back from the walk, we wrap up with a snack, sharing impressions, and if you’d like, a few traditional dance steps, playing an instrument, or singing along to folklore songs.
